“All play means something.”

What is Games to Gather?

Games to Gather is a 501c3 non-profit organization in Portland, Oregon that supports the exploration, facilitation, and creation of positive-action interactive experiences through community events.

If you are interested in playing (or making!) socially inquisitive or personally expressive games with socially conscious peers, then you are in the right place!

Games to Gather is operated entirely by volunteers. All proceeds go to operation and event costs.

What do you play?

All kinds of things! Our most popular events explore story games and freeform games, but you will occasionally find video games at our play study events. Ready, Set, Game is our game-play event series, so keep an eye out for those on our event calendar.

Click here for more info on the specific kinds of games we play.

What do you make?

In addition to playing games, we also design and discuss games and play. Our Game Garden event series supports local game designers in creating positive action games through a variety focused events.

How do I participate?

Visit our Participation page and familiarize yourself with our conduct agreements. Once you’ve done that, check out our events and calendar on our meetup and RSVP for some events that catch your eye!
