“Games don’t distract us from our real lives. They fill our real lives: with positive emotions, positive activity, positive experiences, and positive strengths. Games aren’t leading us to the downfall of human civilization. They’re leading us to it’s reinvention.”
-Jane McGonigal, Reality is Broken
We cherish our diverse community, and we would be thrilled if you were a part of that. All community members are invited to join our Slack Team, where most of our community-wide communication take place. Just send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll send you an invite.
As an Attendee all you need to do is show up to whichever events you find interesting and observe the conduct agreements. Your commitment to attending events is all up to you – nobody will place any expectations regarding your continued participation upon you.
Please take a moment to read our Conduct Agreement, and then check out our Event Calendar! All you have to do is RSVP and show up!
As a Volunteer you will assist with the logistics of events. For most events this means facilitating a game (which is our greatest volunteer need), but it could also mean helping set up/take down an event, or provide some other kind of on-site support. Our exact needs vary event to event, but your role will be determined in advance. You will be expected to model the Conduct Agreement for other participants. Volunteering once does not commit you to further volunteering efforts.
Please read the Conduct Agreement, and join our Slack Team by sending an email to email@example.com.
So, you want to collaborate with Games to Gather? Let’s talk! There are many ways we can work together to support our mutual causes, and we take pride in working with our wider community. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org and let’s see what we can do for each other. In the meanwhile, we invite you to read about what we are, and what we’re doing.
